So why do we call it good Friday you may mask.
Turn on the television and chances are, you’ll see scenes of Jesus Christ’s ordeal. Not something to be called good, is not it?
Good or bad, these are just words that we use to define situations or subjects based on what we see on the surface. What’s important is what really happened in there. At the cross, Jesus was not killed, he offered his life … for me, for you.
The enemy thinks it’s a defeat, God declares it is good for all of us because Christ’s death means he has paid our sins.
“But it doesn’t make sense, how can something so terrible be called good?”
Just one word – LOVE.
He loves us so much that He gave his only Son to die on our behalf. What seems to be ugly on the surface turns out to be beautiful. This is the message of Good Friday.
How about you, what are those ugly or bad situations that turned out to be good? Love to hear from you in the comments below.
